How To Trust In God When You Feel Helpless (Video)
Do you ever feel helpless when you are going through so many trials and think God has forgotten you?
Too often those who are not saved and totally living in opposition to Christ are the ones who seem to be blessed!
They even have the attitude that nothing bad will ever happen to them and that they will be free from trouble! (see Psalm 10:1)
There will come a day when each person will answer for how they lived their life on earth. Revelation 20:12
Even when it seems that everything is going wrong in your life, God has not forgotten you. He will never leave you or forsake you! Hebrews 13:5–6
The following verse will be comforting to you through whatever difficulties you are facing . . .
But you see the trouble and grief they cause.
You take note of it and punish them.
?The helpless put their trust in you.
You defend the orphans. Psalm 10:14
This chapter closes with these thoughts reassuring you that you are NOT forgotten.
Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless.
Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.
You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed,
so mere people can no longer terrify them. Psalm 10:17-18
Life is unpredictable and often filled with grief.
You may have experienced a loss in your life:
- When your marriage hurts!
- Parents passing away!
- Becoming a widow!
- Loss of your child to illness!
- Miscarriage!
- Loss of your child to the world!
- Your husband left you for another woman!
You are a daughter of the King and God cares when your life hurts.
When you feel ‘helpless’ because of what you are going through, you need to trust God more than ever before!
Strengthen Your Trust Through Hope in God
Spending time with God will strengthen your trust.
Difficult circumstances can easily distract you from keeping your eyes on Jesus.
You have a choice, to lose focus or intentionally keep your focus firmly on the cross.
These three verses are just a few of the Bible verses that will keep you from feeling helpless as you put your trust and hope in the Lord Jesus.
The name of the Lordis a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10“. . . for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10
One last thing that will help you trust God more is to cultivate gratitude!
