The Difference Between Worry & Anxiety

You might be wondering what the difference is between worry & anxiety. You might have thought they were interchangeable and basically the same.

Anxiety is an uneasy feeling of apprehension. That feeling of impending danger, doom, or misfortune.

I can become worried when I ‘think’ my husband is tailgating. When I express my worries that we’ll have an accident, that is a perceived threat because there’s been no collision.

Anxiety is usually prompted by fear. It is not normal for someone standing by a fence, not to flinch when a bull boldly rushes by. Fear is a warning system that is built into our bodies where it is natural to react to danger. When there is a real danger it is totally natural to fear.

On the other hand, worry is the thought pattern of anxiety. Thoughts influence your feelings and behavior.

That is why it is so important to get control of your worried thoughts by LETTING GO OF WORRY and allowing God to calm your anxiety.

These Bible verses are a very important aspect of letting go of your worry with the help of the Spirit.
