How To Continually Give Thanks To God
For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. Therefore by Him let us CONTINUALLY offer the sacrifice of PRAISE to God, that is, the FRUIT OF OUR LIPS, GIVING THANKS to His NAME. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:14-16
Praise Causes You to Look UP in Hard Times
This year hasn’t been the easiest as COVID and staying at home for weeks on end changed our lives. Many lost jobs or businesses or overtime like my husband.
Even when you work from home like I do, there are times you need to go out (or would like to).
I felt relationships deeply and had times when it was hard to concentrate. I reflected on past events and relationships. It was a time of either growing farther and farther from God or drawing closer to Jesus because he cares.
Mostly, it was a time of realizing that this world is NOT my home.
This world is not my home I’m just a passing through,My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.Oh lord you know I have no friend like you,If heaven’s not my home then Lord what will I do.The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.
