Have you been following along as we study Romans? Over the past month, we’ve been reading through this powerful book together. I’ve shared devotions from my quiet time, and I pray they’ve encouraged you.

Six Bible Journaling Devotions to inspire you to have a creative Quiet Time
It’s not about how artistic you are. It’s really about your heart.
Do you desire to follow Jesus Christ with your whole heart? Since I began creating these Bible journaling devotions, my quiet time with the Lord has become more meaningful and engaging.
- They help me notice how God is speaking to my heart.
- I look forward to spending time with Jesus.
- They’ve awakened creative abilities that were VERY dormant!
- They’ve given me a beautiful way to express my faith.
I hope these devotions inspire you to dig deeper into God’s Word and enjoy a creative quiet time with Jesus.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

“I will call them My people, who were not My people,
And her beloved, who was not beloved.”
“And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,
‘You are not My people,’
There they shall be called sons of the living God.” Romans 9:25-26
Verse 25 spoke deeply to my heart: “I will call them My people, who were not My people, And her beloved, who was not beloved.”
I was once separated from God, but in His mercy, He called me to Himself as a little girl.
Too often, we struggle with our identity and wonder whether we’re enough. Yet this verse reminds me that God calls me beloved. I am His daughter. I belong to Him. I am His!

Beautiful Feet
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15
Do you have beautiful feet? How do you bring glad tidings to those around you?
HOPE, JOY & PEACE
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
When you’re discouraged, it’s easy to focus only on the situation bringing you down.
As a teenager living in Hawaii, I remember our neighbor digging up every dandelion in his yard. The saying was true—the grass really was greener on the other side of the fence.
Their lawn was gorgeous!
On our side, we had banana trees, plumeria trees, two palm trees, and LOTS OF DANDELIONS!
It would have been easy to overlook the beauty in our yard and wish those weeds away.
But did you know dandelions have benefits?
- They’re highly nutritious.
- They may offer health benefits.
Slow down and look closely at a dandelion. You’ll discover the beautiful details in its petals and leaves.
These little flowers may annoy many people, but they’re truly amazing!
DANDELIONS and HOPE
What do dandelions have to do with hope?
When you’re discouraged, hope, joy, and peace may feel far from your heart.
Yet these little flowers remind us to praise God:
“Sing to Your name.” Romans 15:9b
“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!” Romans 15:10
“Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!” Romans 15:11
Then Paul reminds us of Isaiah’s promise:
“In Him the Gentiles shall hope.” Romans 15:12
Like dandelions growing in unexpected places, hope can rise even during difficult circumstances.
So instead of digging up your dandelions this summer, let them pop up all over your yard as a reminder to have HOPE, JOY, and PEACE in Jesus!!

Are you struggling? Is your life in chaos? If you are often impatient, or even angry, and out of sorts, then this course will teach you how to live with grace the way God intended. You will find YOU ARE ENOUGH when your identity is in Christ, not in yourself!

And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written:
“To whom He was not announced, they shall see;
And those who have not heard shall understand.” Romans 15:20-21
Do you remember the children’s song “Hide It Under a Bushel, No!”?
Have you ever stopped to think about its message? It’s easy to sing familiar songs in church without considering the words.
This verse reminds us to shine the light of Jesus so others can see Him. Our desire should be to reach as many people as possible before our lives end or Jesus returns. Yet many of us—including me—could do more.
Today, we have more opportunities than ever to share Christ. I challenge you to shine His light on social media. We may not change the whole world, but God can use us to reach one heart at a time.

I want to encourage you today to reach out to other sisters in Christ and welcome them, chat with them, and help uplift them as Priscilla and Aquila did for Paul and the other saints (or Believers).

Short Bible Journaling Devotions
I share my devotions as examples of how you can write your own. Mine are short and don’t take much time. During the past several months, I’ve had less time than I usually have in the winter.
Interestingly, having less time for my quiet time has helped me become more focused. Spending an hour with the Lord is wonderful, but even a few minutes can be used wisely.
Could you write a short devotion in a notebook? Recording what God is teaching you allows you to return to it and remember His faithfulness in your life.
Bible journaling devotions are something you can do too. I hope you feel inspired to begin!
