Here are six more Bible journaling devotions to inspire you to illustrate how God is speaking to your heart.

Have you been following along as we study the book of Romans? For the past month, we’ve been reading through Romans. I’ve been sharing my devotions and hope you’ve been blessed with what the Lord has placed on my heart.

Today, I’m sharing six more Bible journaling devotions from my Quiet Time with Jesus. You’ll also find these in Jesus Journaling on Facebook in the ‘Guides.’

Six Bible Journaling Devotions to inspire you to have a creative Quiet Time

It’s not about how artistic you are. It’s really about your heart.

Do you have a heart to follow Jesus Christ with all of your heart? Since I have been doing these Bible journaling devotions, it has made my time with the Lord so much more interesting.

  • It helps to keep me alert to how God is speaking to me!
  • I look forward to spending time with Jesus!
  • It has developed my creative abilities, which were VERY dormant!
  • It has been a means for expressing my faith!

I hope these devotions will motivate you to also dig deeper into God’s Word.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

What are you currently doing that might be hard?

Or do you have circumstances that are difficult?

Are you doing something that takes more energy and strength to accomplish each day than you have naturally?

This is where I’m currently finding myself. I need your prayers for each day. I need energy for what God has called me to do for Jesus Journaling (on Facebook) and my blog (His Unmeasured Grace).

I hope you will pray for me and I will pray for you because I know you have something in life that is hard too.

Share in the comments or simply put your name there and I will add you to my prayer list.

“I will call them My people, who were not My people,
And her beloved, who was not beloved.”

“And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,
‘You are not My people,’
There they shall be called sons of the living God.” Romans 9:25-26

Verse 25 really spoke to my heart when it says, I will call them My people, who are not my people, And her beloved, who was not beloved.”

I was not God’s chosen daughter. I was not His people. In His mercy, He chose me when I was a little girl.

Too often, as women, we struggle with our identity and think that we’re not enough.

This verse says that God calls me BELOVED even though I was not beloved. I am His daughter. I am His!

I don’t have to FIND my identity because my identity is FOUND in Jesus Christ! I am enough because He IS ENOUGH! ~Judith Kowles~

Beautiful Feet

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15

Do you have beautiful feet? How do you bring glad tidings to those around you?

HOPE, JOY & PEACE

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

When you are discouraged, the main thing on your mind is the situation bringing you down.

As a teenager living in Hawaii, I remember our neighbor digging up every dandelion in his yard. The saying was true that the grass was greener on the other side of the fence.

Their grass was gorgeous!

On our side of the fence . . . in our yard was a bunch of banana trees, plumeria trees, two palm trees, and LOTS OF DANDELIONS!

It would have been easy to pass up the beauty of our yard and wish we had no dandelion weeds!

But did you know that dandelions have benefits?

  • They are highly nutritious!
  • They have possible health benefits!

If you slow down enough to look closely at a dandelion, you will discover the intricacy of its petals and leaves.

They are amazing little flowers that annoy most people!

DANDELIONS and HOPE

What do dandelions have to do with hope?!

When you are discouraged, hope, joy, and peace are often the furthest from your mind.

These little flowers remind us to “Sing to Your name” Romans 15:9b

“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!” Romans 15:10

“Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!”

Then it reminds us again, in Isaiah:

“In Him the Gentiles shall hope.” Romans 15:12

So instead of digging up your dandelions this summer, let them pop up all over your yard as a reminder to have HOPE, JOY, and PEACE in Jesus!!

I don’t have to FIND my identity because my identity is FOUND in Jesus Christ! I am enough because He IS ENOUGH! ~Judith Kowles`

This is your solution!

Learn to Live with Grace when you’re not enough!

Are you struggling? Is your life in chaos? If you are often impatient, or even angry, and out of sorts, then this course will teach you how to live with grace the way God intended. You will find YOU ARE ENOUGH when your identity is in Christ, not in yourself!

I NEED THIS SOLUTION!

YOUR GOAL AS A CHRIST-FOLLOWER:

Is it to hide your candle under the bushel?

And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written:

“To whom He was not announced, they shall see;
And those who have not heard shall understand.” Romans 15:20-21

Do you remember the children’s song, “Hide It Under the Bushel, NO!” ?

If so, have you ever really thought about that song?

It’s easy to sing songs in church and zone out, not thinking about the words.

This verse is talking about reaching the lost for Christ. Those who have never heard or seen Jesus.

Our goal should be to reach as many for Christ before our life is over or Jesus returns. I think most of us (including me) are failing to do this!

Today we have more options for reaching others for Christ than ever before.

I challenge you to share Jesus on social media. We probably can’t change the world but we can reach the ends of the earth on social media and change one soul at a time!

Share the state or country where you live to show how far this post reaches!! In doing so, you’ll see how far you can reach the world for Christ without leaving your location.

Greet the Saints

Fellowship is what encourages us as women. Whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, fellowship feels so good.

Priscilla and Aquila were known for being wonderful workers for Jesus even though it meant risking their necks.

Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Romans 16:3

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Romans 16:24

I want to encourage you today to reach out to other sisters in Christ and welcome them, chat with them, and help uplift them as Priscilla and Aquilla did for Paul and the other saints (or Believers).

Let’s emulate these two women today!

Short Bible Journaling Devotions

I share my devotions as an example of how you can write your own devotions. Mine are short and really do not take much time. During the past several months I’ve had less time than I do in the winter months.

The interesting thing is the less time I’ve had for my Quiet Time, the more efficient and focused I become. It’s wonderful to have an hour but less time can be used wisely when there’s less time available.

Can you write out your short devotion in a notebook? When you record where God is taking you, it can be read again and again to remind you of God’s faithfulness in your life.

Bible journaling devotions can be something you do too. I hope this has inspired you today!
