God Always Provides More Than Enough!

Have you ever felt like there wasn’t enough money to stretch for the bills, groceries, and all the extra needs that crop up?

I don’t think it matters how much income circulates (and I mean circulates) through your home each week, our needs vary and there never seems to be enough.

I am not talking about overspending.

I am talking about basic needs. We all have different situations that stretch our income.

One family may have huge medical bills that is making it hard to make ends meet.

You might have something big to pay up that your husband bought that is causing the budget to be tight.

What I learned from these verses is so amazing that I have to share it with you!

Jesus understands what you are going through. I mentioned finances because that is an area that I stress over too often. I really think that this is something that many of you struggle with as you try to be a conscientious steward of your family’s money.

I no longer need to doubt whether God is going to provide or not. If I am doing my part, He will provide a way.

God Always Provides More Than Enough

The Biggest Picnic in Israel!

This one verse sums up what happened to all the fragments of bread and fish that dropped on the ground that day.

Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. John 6:13

Have you ever slowly and carefully read the story of the ‘Feeding of the 5000’ before?

When you slow down and read just one chapter and focus on part of that chapter, you grasp a greater depth of what Jesus wants to show you.

There were ONLY five loaves and two fish to feed over 5000 people (they only counted the men).

It just doesn’t add up!

It was the biggest picnic in Israel!

Nothing like this had ever happened since Moses’ time in the wilderness when God provided manna for the Israelites. (Exodus 16)

Seek First the Kingdom of God

Jesus tells us not to be anxious about our needs but to “Seek FIRST the kingdom of God and his righteousness. (Matthew 6:33)

We are to believe that all these things will be added to us!

How do you ‘seek first’ the kingdom of God?

  1. Read your Bible every day!
  2. Talk to God in prayer!
  3. Put God first with your money (tithing)!

So often I strive to make things happen when I have needs rather than rely on God to supply the way out.

God is still the God who provides just as He provided the food that those people needed on that hillside so long ago.

More importantly than providing our financial needs so that we can continue to buy groceries, God wants to provide for our spiritual needs.

The people were hungry so Jesus provided more enough to fill their need.

More than that Jesus wanted to show them how hungry they were for Him.

God Always Provides More Than Enough

Grace Abounding is More than Enough!

God is able to make all grace abound to you, so you will have all sufficiency in all things, at all times. Then you will be able to abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

He really intends for us to believe this because if we do, we will have NO WORRIES EVER! (Philippians 4:6-7)

God provides MORE THAN ENOUGH if we live in absolute surrender and trust Him to provide.

Have you seen God’s miraculous provision of more than enough in your life?
