You will love journaling through James with a workbook designed to help you study the book of James one passage at a time. As you read each selected portion of Scripture, you will be experiencing intimacy with Jesus.
If you are tired of rushing through a Bible reading plan, only to skim off the surface of the chapters, then you will love this booklet!
Your mom-life is hectic and the kids may whine or fuss all day but when you spend time with Jesus before they wake up or during their naps you are more likely to survive and thrive!
When my kids were all babies and toddlers and I was exhausted from the time I woke up, I often read the Bible aloud while they were eating their breakfast and fastened in the high chair.
Or . . . we would snuggle on the sofa and I would read my Bible while we all sat under a blanket. Then I would read from a Bible storybook more on their level.
Why not learn to draw or encourage your kids to illustrate God’s Word along with you?
Start at any artist level and grow in your artistic ability!
And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. James 2:23
The Top drawing is James 3:1-6, the bottom left drawing is James 2:23, and the bottom right drawing is James 1:5-8
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8
Go Through James in 31 Days!
The Journaling Through James workbook is divided into 31 days of short passages for your Quiet Time. This will fit easily into your busy day whether you are a young or seasoned mom. It isn’t a study where you are spoon-fed facts but a study YOU DO as you personally dig into God’s Word.
You will write and journal about what you saw happening in the passage you read. There are 31 days that each has an assigned passage to read. There is one page for each day of the month to write down what you soaked into your mind and heart. Then there is a space at the bottom of the page to draw, paint, or decorate with washi tape and stickers.
Journal Even when Life’s Intense!
Maybe your life’s intense because COVID has changed your life indefinitely.
Maybe your baby or toddler kept you up all night. How do you journal through James and be faithful in spending time with Jesus when you wake up late and exhausted?
You still can do this….just do what you can and come back to James when in a year or two.
Or you can include your kids by reading them the verses for that day. You are building a habit into their lives that includes Jesus.
Journaling Through James is designed to be as intense or as short so it fits into your season in life.
It is a keepsake to return to when you read James again. You will build a legacy for those who will come after you because you recorded your journey through James.
You will LOVE the easy-to-use format that will pace your study of the book of James.
The tendency is to read a full chapter but you will experience intimacy with Jesus because you slowed down to feel and experience His presence.
Be Creative Through Journaling Art
If you want to go deeper in your study of James, journaling art is one way of doing that!
You don’t have to be creative just willing to give it a try.
Journaling art is a way to worship God as you draw, paint, use stamps, Washi-tape, or all sorts of other ways of illustrating a verse or passage you read in your Bible.
It is a way of drawing into the presence of God and being still and listening to his voice.
