You Are Invited to Join Me this Fall

 

You are invited to join me this fall as once again, as I participate in Good Morning Girls. I have been sharing about Gratitude over the past few weeks and it ties in so wonderfully well with the Free Bible Journaling Workshop as part of Making Your Home a Haven Challenge.

 

Let me explain from the beginning.

 

Good Morning Girls in the Word Good Morning Girls in the Word is a group of women who read the Bible from cover to cover.

 

Good Morning Girls is an online Bible study that was started by Courtney Joseph in her church. In 2009 she took it to the internet where she shared it with other women in America.

 

It didn’t stay there! Soon it was spreading all over the world!

 

Courtney, together with my friends Rosilind, Misty, Mandy and Bridget, joined together in helping to lead Good Morning Girls. It has been an amazing journey as Good Morning Girls not only grew beyond what could have ever been dreamed or imagined, but it has been an amazing honor to see women’s lives changed by daily digging into God’s Word!

 

What is Good Morning Girls?

 

Good Morning Girls is simply a plan for reading the Bible.

 

We believe that the Word of God is so powerful that it can defeat the enemy who is at war with our soul. It is the Word of God alone that can defeat the enemy.

 

That is why so many women have banded together with Courtney to read through the Bible.

 

I had been sharing about my journey as I read through the Bible over on my original blog, WholeHearted Home, and am choosing to jump back on board this fall.

 

A year ago, Courtney slowed the pace and has been studying the Bible through seasons of the year.

 

Why is it Important to Study the Bible?

 

The Bible is God’s Holy Word and in getting to know God better, it is imperative that we study the Bible.

 

That is why I write Bible studies, devotionals and share Scripture Memory Cards, and encourage you to do creative Bible journaling here on my blog.

 

It is important to plant yourself in God’s Word so that you grow as a Believer in Christ Jesus.

 

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
Psalm 1:1-3

 

It is also important to read and study the whole Bible and not just the New Testament. The Old Testament was also written to us and it is fulfilled when Jesus came as a baby and as the gospel started to spread throughout the whole world.

 

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

 

What are You Being Invited To?

 

I have a passion for getting to know Jesus better!

 

I am inviting you to join me as I dig deeper into God’s Word and apply it to my home this fall!

 

I want to better understand God’s message to us and so that is why I am joining with Making Your Home a Haven with Courtney Joseph.

 

My friend, Rosilind Jukic over at A Little R and R, is doing a FREE Bible Journaling Workshop on her blog and has asked me to share each week of November.
